Job description
As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of construction projects. Your role is essential in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning:
Collaborate with project managers to create project schedule, plans, budgets, and timelines.
Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
2. Design and Specification Review:
Review construction designs and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulations.
Coordinate with design teams for necessary modifications.
3. Procurement and Materials Management:
Oversee the procurement of construction materials and equipment.
Manage material quality control and inventory.
4. Construction Monitoring:
Review plans and other technical documents
Monitoring construction activities on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections and address issues promptly.
5. Budget and Cost Control:
Monitor cost and project progress
Monitor project budgets and expenditures.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficient resource allocation strategies.
6. Schedule Management:
Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and milestones.
Address delays and implement corrective actions as needed.
7. Subcontractor and Vendor Management:
Select and manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to contract terms and performance expectations.
Evaluate subcontractor and vendor performance regularly.
8. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure that construction work complies with regulatory standards, company policies, and industry best practices.
Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections for compliance.
9. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
Prepare contingency plans and respond to unforeseen issues effectively.
10. Documentation and Reporting:- Maintain accurate project records, including progress reports, change orders, and correspondence. - Prepare regular status reports and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
willing to be assigned in Loon, Bohol.
Proven experience in construction projects, including planning, execution, and management.
Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in project management software and tools./ Auto CAD
Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment.
