Job Description
The Project Engineer is responsible for supervising the design, installation and implementation of expansion and Facility improvement projects of all Feedmill by performing design conceptualization, preparation of detailed and specifications, value engineering, project management and testing and commissioning to ensure reliable, timely delivery of projects and safe operation with the allotted budget.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Design Preparation
Pre-Design Phase
Regularly coordinates withProject Owner (End User Department), engineering team and feedmill manager on the specifications of their requirements regarding the project.
Effectively develop budgetary estimates for the project and coordinate with concerned departments for the feasibility study of the project.
Regularly performs Site Election and Analysis (Utilities, Transportation, Land-use)
Effectively develop site utilization and Land-use study (Topographic survey, soil investigation, building codes, government entity clearances, etc.)
B. Design Phase
Effectively develop preliminary Design, outline specifications, preliminary estimate and presentation drawings and present them to the manager and other concerned departments for approval.
Prepares detailed working drawings and other bid documents (specifications, bill of materials, project schedule)
Project Supervision
Efficiently monitor construction activities and schedules; periodic submission of construction updates.
Observes work in progress to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
Confers with Architects, Engineers and concerned departments when clarification or interpretation of the documents and workmanship becomes necessary.
Evaluates and recommends requests and other construction-related issues such as additional works.
Verifies delivered construction materials as to its quality and specifications.
Coordinates with other departments regarding construction-related issues.
Facilitates weekly coordination meetings with contractors and sub-contractors.
Evaluates and recommends progress billing and other billing-related matters.
Regularly provide updates to Team Leader; attending periodic staff meetings.
Monitors construction cost against approved budget.
Regularly reviews, recommends and implements approved cost-effective alternatives in the implementation of approved projects.
FACILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
A. CAPEX
Performs designs and cost estimates CAPEX projects ensuring that these are in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards and forwards to immediate superior and process owner for evaluation and approval.
Evaluates and recommends approaches in implementing approved CAPEX projects whether in-house or contract out.
Manage approved CAPEX projects.
Recommends man power utilization for all in-house projects. B. Fabrication Works
Supervises in house Fabrication jobs of feedmill projects
Supervises the installation of plant structural systems ensuring safety and efficiency and that the specifications are met
Monitors the services of third party manpower service providers in the Maintenance department. Other Tasks:
Attends emergency/special calls relative to structural and civil works problems during night shift, should the need arise.
Appointed membership to committees whenever necessary
Performs related work as maybe assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Experience:
With at least two (2) years experience in Project Supervision
Licenses:
Civil Engineer License
Other Requirements:
Excellent Knowledge of and familiarity with construction plans and construction management.
In-depth expertise in capability to interpret symbols/plans
Thorough knowledge in structural design and material engineering.
Above average Computer skills (word, excel and ppt or related software)
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Very good management skills (PLOC)
Excellent problem solving and analysis
Highly detail-oriented
Very good organization skills
Very Good coordination skills
