A Project Engineer / Site Engineer provides advice in the planning, co-ordination and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects. A site engineer's roles are:
> Managing the construction projects
> Prepares cost estimates and analysis
> Overseeing building works
> Undertaking surveys
> Setting out sites
> Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
> Supervising contracted staff
> Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and or timescales
> Ensuring materials requisition and purchases are reviewed based on specific project requirement
> Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager
> Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
> Preparing site reports and filing in other paperworks
> Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.
Summary: A Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project. A Project engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements.
Requirements: Civil Engineer with minimum of 2 years work experience
