As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the firm by spearheading project coordination, facilitating smooth installation and commissioning, and conducting meticulous technical evaluations. Your responsibilities include interpreting drawings, performing material take-offs, and crafting risk assessments and method statements to ensure effective project planning and execution. Prioritizing safety, quality, and productivity, you will be instrumental in elevating exciting projects to unprecedented levels of success and excellence.
The Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Clients, Engineering Department, business units, vendors, subcontractors, and Procurement Department to coordinate and oversee project activities
Provide support to the site construction team during installation, testing, and commissioning phases
Assist in project planning, prepare progress reports, and handle claims as needed
Interpret construction and technical drawings, coordinating with the Engineering team to address technical inquiries
Conduct material take-offs and evaluate vendor quotations, considering both technical and commercial aspects
Prepare method statements and risk assessments for various installation tasks
Develop monthly work schedules and set productivity targets
Monitor and control project schedules to ensure timely completion
Take proactive measures to prevent non-conformities
Prioritize safety by creating a secure working environment and adhering to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) rules
The Requirements:
Ideally, a Diploma holder or with a Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications
Preferably possess 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a similar capacity within the Oil and Gas Petrochemical Construction Industry
Demonstrated knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Project controls, and Construction work processes
