Project Director Job Description
The project director will be responsible for overseeing digital team members across various digital departments ensuring that team members, stakeholders and clients fully understand the live status of projects at any time. This position will involve creating schedules and following up with team members to ensure that each phase of a project proceeds as planned, ensuring that any gaps in projects are understood and requested by most relevant team members, resource allocation, project reporting direct to Digital Director and stakeholders.
The project director will supervise all digital departments (Web Design & Build, Web Support, SEO, Social Media, APP Design & Build, Graphic Design, Content Marketing) and support department leads in carrying out certain projects, and keeps upper management personnel informed as to how a particular plan is progressing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Project Director
•Coordinates the various projects across the various digital teams and ensure they are delivered on time and on budget
•Develop a timeline for the completion of certain milestones for a each project creating project, individual and team based schedules and workflows that show live status of projects, roadblocks, progresses, estimations, resource allocations and project assets
•Create a budget for the completion of a particular job, and monitor budget expenditure vs budget allowance ensuring projects do not slip over budget ensuring stakeholders are made away should andover budget be estimated
•Recommend changes to a project that is ongoing if it appears it is not proceeding on schedule or is producing unsatisfactory results
•Develop alternative courses of action for completing projects should the initial plan fail
•Support project planning and new project tender with insight into resource availability and capability, as well as estimations into project delivery times based on resource skill, number of projects etc
•Be the link between digital project delivery teams in Cebu and management, stakeholders in Australia
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•Experience and knowledge of web technology such as Wordpress
•Experience and knowledge of digital marketing practices such as SEO, SEM and SMM
•Experience using project management tools such as Monday.com
•Experience using gsuite tools
•Proven project management experience delivery digital and web based projects
•Ability to foster a sense of team spirit within different departments
•Excellent communication skills and relays information in a timely manner
•Strong budgeting skills and is able to reduce costs without making adjustments that would affect quality
•Knows what is required in order for a particular project to be completed, and has realistic expectations as far as meeting deadlines go
•Possesses good math skills, and can make accurate calculations quickly and easily
•Has good leadership and supervisory skills
Education and Experience
The project director should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or communications with at least 3 years experience in a similar role ideally in an agency or marketing environment.
