PROJECT-BASED POSITION
PROJECT NAME: Brigada Pagbasa Learning in Times of Emergencies (LITE) Project
Purpose of the position:
This position is responsible for the implementation of the project on "Brigada Pagbasa Learning in Times of Emegencies (LITE) Bag Project" a non-sponsorship grant funded by Bank of America. The Project will provide digital learning tools and trainings for students and teachers of Area Programme Malabon partner school.
WVDF - Bank of America (BOA) Brigada Pagbasa LITE Project Coordinator represents WVDF and is primarily responsible for the quality, timely and effective implementation, integration, contextualization, monitoring and reporting of WV of the project in partnership with the Department of Education at the community level. He/she uses the principles, processes, standards and tools of digital education to ensure the WVDF-BOA LITE Project intervention contribute to improving children learning outcomes through digital education. He/she will ensure budget/target monitoring; consolidation/writing of project reports; and coordination/collaboration with AP and RD team, and also responsible in maintaining sound relationships with project stakeholders, partners, donor and Resource Development team (RD).
Major responsibilities:
Oversee training, equipment use and partner teachers' roles and responsibilities
Conduct initial and reinforcement trainings for the teachers.
Conduct follow up programmed training to provide support and address project issues and concerns.
Track teachers' performance in the use of digital platform and equipment.
Provide DepEd Malabon City Schools Division with regular reports, updates, as well as requested data and information, that could help provide inputs to digital education programming in the partnership.
Provision technical support, gather and prepare needed information for monitoring and updates.
Ensure effective consultation and feedback sessions with the school principal and the equipment custodian to track project progress and possible challenges on equipment use and the alignment of learning content to the school curricula.
Conduct periodic review of the condition of the equipment to ensure its quality standards are met based on the equipment quality assurance guidelines.
Co - lead in the development of monitoring system based on WVDF -BOA Brigada Pagbasa LITE Project guideline on the maintenance and care of the equipment in close coordination with the school head.
Conducts regular monitoring activities to keep track of the progress of project implementation and provide feedback to immediate supervisor.
Collaborate with the local government agencies, schools and other relevant stakeholders in the implementation of the project.
Prepare regular report and updates on the Programmes, Projects and initiatives relevant to this partnership agreement.
Coordination with WV-BOA LITE Project Team for feedbacking, monitoring and support
Provide regular comprehensive project documentation, plans and report on the progress of the WV-BOA Brigada Pagbasa LITE Project implementation.
Monitors project spending based on the approved project budget.
Coordinate with Area Program staff in the target areas.
Participates to team meetings and other activities
Attends to staff development activities as planned
Complies with WVDF policies and standards i.e. finance, P&C, etc.
Performs other tasks as maybe relevant to the implementation of programs in her/his assigned areas including NRD or Grants acquisition related
Requirements:
A graduate of a bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Sciences or any related courses and/or equivalent experience in project management.
At least 2 years' experience in academic IT- related program/project management for NGO.
Experience of 1 year minimum in project management
Experienced in facilitating digital education workshop and children activities.
Experienced in coordination with national agencies and in working with local government units, civil society organizations, churches, faith based organizations, etc.
At least one year of experience working with urban communities
Experience of organizing and facilitating webinars.
Some experience of e-learning or learning-based digital communications (desirable).
Competence in the use of MS Office and excellence in both oral and written English communication especially in technical report writing and analysis
A working knowledge on projects related to Out of School Youth and Education particularly Alternative Learning System (ALS)
Can work with minimal supervision
Can use technology in project designing, monitoring and reporting
