PROJECT ARCHITECT
 
Job description
Meeting with clients and stakeholders to discuss construction designs.
Drafting building plans for commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects.
Preparing budgets, material documents, and specification lists for client approval.
Overseeing & supervising building contractors and construction crews.
Work inspections to ensure adherence to plans and specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards
Ensuring the project remains on time and within specifications.
Creating progress reports, time schedules, and revised budgets.
Conducting a final inspection after the project is complete.
Sourcing of contractors & suppliers
Quantity take-off, cost estimates, preparation of shop drawings
Evaluation of contractors & suppliers progress billing
Attendance to meetings
Other tasks assigned by the Project Manager
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in architecture, design, or similar.
Licensed architect, with at least 5-years work experience in big building projects
Advanced knowledge of drafting software including AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp, etc.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Ability to translate concepts into functional construction designs.
Advanced project-management skills.
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders on a daily basis.
Knowledge of construction costs and time frames.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and other applicable software programs
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
Experience in managing and supervising construction teams
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
Self-motivated and proactive, can accomplish tasks without direct oversight
