We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Philippines as a Project Accountant. The primary responsibility of the Project Accountant is to meticulously track billable hours and development projects from proposal creation through project implementation until the customer transitions to support. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that projects are executed within budget constraints and provides vital support to the implementation and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Tracking:
Monitor and track billable hours for development projects from initiation to completion.
Ensure alignment with project plans established in the proposal phase.
Regularly update project status and financial data to reflect accurate information.
Budget Management:
Work closely with project managers to establish project budgets.
Proactively identify and alert the team when project hours are approaching the allocated budget.
Assist in the creation of change orders and Statements of Work (SOW) to address budget variations.
Financial Reporting:
Generate regular reports detailing project financials, including expenses, billable hours, and budget variances.
Provide clear and concise financial information to aid decision-making processes.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with the implementation and development teams to understand project requirements and milestones.
Act as a liaison between finance and project teams to ensure seamless communication.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
Support audits by providing accurate and timely financial documentation.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in project accounting or a similar role.
Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
Proficient in financial software and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
