Primary Purpose of Position
The Project Accountant will provide day to day Finance and Administrative support to Pacific region with a emphasis on project accounting transactions, cash flow management, reconciliation, and applicable reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Validate, process, and post batch time entries, project invoices, and expense accruals in Epicor. Review documents supporting client invoices and ensure completeness before endorsement to RFM/PM.
Liaise directly with Project Managers, Local Finance, Corporate, Helpdesk and other Stakeholders to ensure comp
Review International FTE Invoice against contract and endorse to RM and PM for approval. Ensure costs are accurately charged against the project.
Check and manage Cash Sheet for project local expenses. Ensure accounts are reconciled.
Prepare and manage monthly cash flow statement in consultation with the PM and ensure funds in the local bank account.
Liaise, track and collect reimbursable supporting documents from project office manager.
Organize the local Sub consultant payment for at least once a month for payment to local staffs and to any major service/equipment providers.
Review third party vendor invoices against agreement and endorse to PM/RM for approval. Ensure costs are accurately charged against the project.
Work hand in hand with PMs in the monthly project replans. Reflect revenue and cost changes in Epicor and calculate simulated results for further approval by PM/RM/Div Fin/COO
Participate in the regional lock up committee meeting. Report long outstanding debtors and WIP commentaries as applicable
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy, with at least 5 years solid working experience in Finance/Accounting. Certified Public Accountant.
Experience in a Shared Services or BPO environment, an advantage.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software or financial reporting software is a plus.
Candidate should have sound Finance and Accounting skills, including knowledge of best practices on any or all areas of accounting such as AR, AP, Cash, and Reconciliation.
Can work with minimal supervision, and has a leadership potential.
Ability to cope with ambiguity and change and maintain high level of professionalism when working under pressure;
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills within a multi-cultural business environment.
