About the team
Work closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive analysis and design of quality technical solutions ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies and complying with FIS architectural standards.
What you will be doing
Provide technical support and resolution to triage tickets.
Implement permanent fix for defects or changes due to production-related issues.
Provide weekend validation due to system updates.
Participate in FIS Disaster Recovery exercises.
Participate and support infrastructure changes that impact the application.
Provides customer support.
Exhibits effective problem-solving competence for various programming challenges.
Can think logically and writes/analyzes source code independently.
Practice team behavior.
Manages Time Effectively.
Production support is 80% and defect fixing is 20%
Analysis and research of customer reported issues for the Service Delivery application within a 7-day turnaround time.
Must be able to work on a rotational shifting schedule. Nightshift from 9pm - 6am and Dayshift from 9am to 6pm (Manila Time). Schedule is more on Day Shifting. Rotation is done once a month.
Provide on-call production support. This is only assigned to Day shifters
Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring:
Experience using Cobol, JCL, DB2 and basic IMS
Exposure to Banking and Financial domain is a plus
Must have 3+ years of experience in mainframe technologies with Production Support experience.
Experience on the Tools is INSYNC, XPEDITER, and CONTROL-M.
Experience in working on Defect Management is an "additional benefit" as we have scope for defect management, Incident Triage, Job Abend, and Change Records.
Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles
Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences
