Role Summary
As a Professional Services Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to provide revenue generating, high quality technical services to Sophos partners and customers. You will engage on large or complex engagements to architect and deliver Sophos solutions tailored to meet the customer's unique security and environmental requirements.
What You Will Do
Mastery of assigned technologies
Identifying customer needs by probing to fully understand business and technical requirements
Authoring Statements of Works and other technical documents as required
Preparing, maintaining, and submitting activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures.
Acting as a Sophos "ambassador" to the customer
Addressing customer questions in a comprehensive manner to ensure customer satisfaction
Supporting the sales process, where appropriate, by offering technical knowledge
Providing feedback to Product Development to enhance Sophos products
Set-up, installation, and configuration of Sophos products
Migrations, health checks, remediation of customer issues as a secondary focus
Authoring custom scripts, and contributing to other development work as required
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions
Designing and delivering customer training for Sophos products as part of engagement delivery
What You Will Bring
5 or more years of technical consulting or equivalent experience
Working to project/deliverable deadlines
Comprehensive experience with Software Deployment methods- GPO, BigFix, LanDesk, etc.
Network diagnostic tools including experience gathering and troubleshooting network issues using packet captures
Configuring and troubleshooting MS SQL and other transactional database technologies
Experience with scripting (SQL, Batch, PowerShell, Python, Bash)
Experience configuring email routing and web filtering technologies
Experience with directory services (LDAP, Active Directory)
Desirable * Enterprise implementation experience with Competitor Security Solutions
Experience configuring and managing security solutions -Enterprise (AV, Encryption, MDM Web)
Experience with administration of distributed environments, Including MS, Apple and Linux/Unix clients
Experience with Mobile Device Management solutions and familiarity with Mobile Device OS
Experience working with certificates in the context of web filtering deployments
Experience with web site hosting and applications (Apache, IIS)
Experience developing visual representations of networks and providing written reports for compliance
Architect level knowledge of Public Cloud technologies - AWS & Azure
