The Production Supervisor manages a total of 60-85 production employees in the plant. He/she is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees. The Production Supervisor responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
The Production Supervisor is expected to master people management, technical/production output and processes, continuous process improvement, the application of Lean Manufacturing. Demonstrates success in developing/implementing continuous improvement initiatives and accountability programs; demonstrates success assessing, developing and retaining top talent; proven ability to drive process improvements, Kaizens, adhere to budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance; proven ability to lead: critical thinking, continuous cost focus, technical expertise, influence and delivery of sustainable results.
