PRODUCTION ENGINEER
 
Purpose of Job/Job Summary:
 
Responsible for the production of best quality output and achievement of quality targets by maximizing the use of all resources. Coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality and quantity specifications.
 
Position Overview:
 
Skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join our engineering team. This role combines the responsibilities of a Product Engineer, Process Engineer, and Technical Engineer to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and technical expertise in product design and production systems. You will play a crucial role in optimizing production processes and resolving technical issues.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor product performance during production and suggest process modifications for improvements in quality, ST-value and cost.
Investigate the cause and effect of process and malfunction NG and provide countermeasures to prevent from reoccurring.
Prevent the flow-out of parts NG by containing all defective parts in sorting process.
Propose a product and process improvement through Kaizen program.
Responsible in checking and improving the ST-value by conducting time-study in all processes.
Review, revise and improve Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to production lines, machinery, and production processes.
Assess processes, identify process failure and take actions for prevention.
Develop best practices, routines and solutions to improve ST-value and quality of output.
Perform process simulations and conduct education/orientation for newly transferred products.
Provide process documentation such as QC Flowchart, Process Flow, SOP Production Notice and Abnormal Notice
Provide technical guidance and support to the production team to resolve technical challenges.
Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Monitor and maintain production jigs, fixtures and equipment, ensuring they are in working condition that produces good products.
Perform set-up and adjustment of jigs, fixtures and equipment.
Modify simple design of jigs and fixtures and process if necessary.
Qualifications:
Preferably male
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electronics, Electrical, or related field).
Advantage having an experience in a production, process, or engineering role, preferably in manufacturing industry.
Advantage having a knowledge of product design, manufacturing processes, and quality control techniques.
Knowledgeable in CAD software and able to read product and technical drawing.
Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving technical challenges.
