The successful candidate will work within a global UX team to drive creative design solutions by understanding user needs and existing pain points, establishing usability requirements, conducting formative and summative user research, and communicating design recommendations effectively and efficiently. Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and a passion for continuous improvement will be critical in ensuring personal and team success in this role. Analytical yet creative, the incumbent has a knack for understanding how people interact with printer hardware and excel at evaluating products and designs to be more accessible and usable.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Identify key opportunities and influence the business strategy based on an acute understanding of the needs and expectations of our users, customers, and partners.
Collaborate with the global design teams and various stakeholders to improve experience design and create innovative solutions.
Provide usability support throughout product development lifecycle, from developing design systems metrics during early engagement to benchmarking evaluations in the final validation.
Define usability study protocols, moderate studies, analyze study data, write testing report, and propose design recommendations.
Guide interaction design reviews and iterations with usability principles and testing data.
Present findings from usability studies, field observations, and expert reviews to various cross functional teams that include Development, Marketing, and Sales.
Practice Design Thinking to generate empathy and innovation.
Ensure user experiences align with business goals.
Keep up with experience and design trends.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within and across the team(s).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree holder.
Experience in Usability, Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, Industrial Design, is an advantage but not a requirement.
Strong interest in the field of User Experience.
Highly creative and see opportunities vs. Problems.
Strong collaboration skills to work with and across various groups and levels of management within the organization.
Ability to deal with ambiguity.
Constant curiosity.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Cognitive Psychology, Human Centered Design, Ergonomics, or similar.
Mechanical Engineering or Experience in designing technical systems such as PCs, servers, smart phones, etc.
Accessibility (508 and other regulations)
Statistic Data Analysis
Knowledge of imaging products (functions, terminology, industrial standards, etc.)
