Job Description
PayMaya is revving up insurance with technology, taking it online and obliterating much of the paperwork associated with it. Creating products that are a cut above the mundane with a simple, transparent, and stress-free process of getting insurance on a fully digital servicing platform that cuts across our different lines of business. A solution which integrates seamlessly through the various customer journeys is what we are looking to build. Using data, analytics, and technology, the company's platform will enable our customers to access relevant insurance products in one click based on their risk profile.
Responsibilities
Identify market opportunities and competition, build business cases and define product vision and strategy
Design, Price, and Productize innovative insurance products across all lines of businesses working with partner insurance underwriters
Closely working with other product, sales & business development teams to discuss and understand the needs of our consumers, enterprises and agents
Ensure overall alignment of short term priorities and actions with long term portfolio plans to translate vision into reality
Clearly communicate the product/platform requirements and customer value to stakeholders, write detailed user stories, define customer problem statements, ensure concepts are prototyped and tested, define ramp up strategy
Creating and managing product roadmaps, prioritization, and constraints to ensure consistent execution of the product lifecycle process from concept to launch
Lead a highly dynamic consumer product team to develop financial products, translating business strategies into products that delight customers and position PayMaya for substantial growth in the future
Develop, nurture, and collaborate with internal and external partners / key stakeholders
Keeping abreast of competitors' new product offerings or service developments, while assessing the threat to our business and creating a plan of action to maintain a competitive edge for products
Define and agree on product success criteria and KPIs with stakeholders, and provide senior management with regular updates and manage communications of product development across the organization
Demonstrate a high bar in sourcing, hiring, and managing a world-class product team
Qualifications
4-8 years of Product Management experience in designing digital insurance solutions
Entrepreneur's mindset
Passion for Insurance Technology Solutions (InsureTech)
Expercience in pricing / underwriting
Able to discern what is a world class product and delivers against that amibition
Demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly consumer products
Demonstrated ability to learn from past experiences to have a strong opinion on recommended practices
Ability to drive work to completion with designers and engineers
Understanding of SDKs, APIs, and building products that scale
Comfortable going deep on critical technical discussions
