As a member of Wiring, the WPE Junior Engineer will be responsible for maintaining engineering activities to support various customers.
The Role
Key responsibilities include the following:
Will be responsible for wiring change management thru RDC database or SEM
Interacts with customer/LU for inputs on design changes and/or for issues resolution
Analyzes Systems, CAD and customer inputs (ECR/PDO/PDL) as requirement for change requests
Liaise with suppliers for any component information required
Responsible for drawing release (PCN/CR creation/tracking, 2D checks and part releasing)
Participates QIE meeting and deals with CFT for any requests related to manufacturing/purchasing/sales etc..
Performs cost savings initiative via CTO/TVM
Implements improvements and innovations to enhance product performance and reliability
Supports harness review in Lear wiring manufacturing plants as required
Performs on-site build support on customer assembly plants and tracks build issues as required
Qualifications
Graduate of BS Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical or any related Engineering discipline
Preferably with knowledge in wiring schematics / wiring 2D & 3D
Knowledge in basic programming and excel macro is a plus
Proficient in both oral and written English language communication
Can work with minimum supervision, willing to render overtime and work schedule flexibility as needed on night shift for off-shore customer interface
Has a good interpersonal skill and can work well with a team
