The Procurement Assistant is responsible for determining the purchasing needs of the organization. They work with other parts of the organization to forecast demand, evaluate inventory levels, and take orders from within the organization.Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of Engineering, Business, Finance, Management course, or any related courses
With at least 1-2 years professional experience in procurement with demonstrated knowledge in construction, admin and operational requirements
Strong communication skills (internal, external with peers and suppliers)
Strong presentation skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and procurement platforms
Flexible, able to work on own initiative, can work on tight deadlines and prioritize tasks accordingly
Job Overview:
Negotiate directly with vendors to get the best possible pricing and payment options.
Assist in the receipt of purchased materials and services, and keep detailed records of purchases and stocks.
Build relationships with suppliers and manage their performance by conducting routine supplier business reviews and evaluating supplier performance and compliance.
Manage and maintain purchasing data system for internal tracking tool enabling buyers to focus on purchasing activity.
Maintain appropriate documentation for audit and control procedures, in addition to timely and accurately updating purchasing records and data.
