Job Description:
As a Procurement Assistant, you are responsible in ensuring that a business has a constant supply of materials or equipment. You will help procurement with the following responsibilities:
Coordinate internally with end-users for order/service requests
Responsible for ordering of materials, supplies, collaterals, equipment and other goods/services as needed
Receive purchase requests from different department
Process purchase orders, schedule deliveries, monitor order status and ensure complete delivery of order
Ensures accuracy and completeness of invoices for payment
Review inventories and order as required
Assist in purchase report on a weekly basis
Requirements
College degree or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in Procurement or Supply Chain or equivalent experience required. Progressive work experience in Supply Chain with successful experience in procurement in a high-volume environment. Sourcing (RFI/RFQ/RFP) experience;
Experience with Peoplesoft and/or SAP ; Additional experience in other Finance disciplines strongly preferred. Call Center industry experience preferred.
Previous experience in a supervisory/management role a plus.
Basic knowledge and ability in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge and ability to navigate the Internet and corporate Intranet, including how to search and research using both. Good verbal communication skills
Good written communication skills (prepares appropriate documents, including reports on procurement issues; creates and delivers correspondence suitable for a variety of audiences - associates, clients, management, external sources; presents information such as documentation in a logical sequence that is suitable for internal and external use). Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, including negotiation & influencing.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong time management skills (multi-tasks, prioritizes work tasks, utilizes resources effectively/efficiently, adapts to changing work demands/priorities/environments).
Knowledgeable of procurement processes, policies and procedures
Strong negotiation skills
High accuracy and detail-oriented
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines
