This role provides operational performance insight, identifying improvement opportunities, and facilitating the implementation of impactful solutions to operational issues and challenges. This position also leads the design and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. The solutions, tools and improvements are critical to timely visibility of APLL's customer freight and management reports and dashboards that empower APLL customers and operations teams to decision making and problem solving This role reports to the Manager, Data Analytics Process Design.Responsibilities:
Project Documentation and Analytics
- Conduct thorough analyses of current processes and identify areas for improvement- Support APLL Leadership in documenting standardized processes in centralized repository.- Ensure new processes are streamlined against existing processes within APLL.- Regular interaction with account managers, operations and customer service and customers to gather, validate and document operational requirements.- Conduct systematic in-depth research and analysis into issues of varying complexity.- Initiate, define and lead the development and communication of reports to key stakeholders, including executive/senior management.- Facilitate development of new analytics solutions to address existing gaps in analytics tools.- Provides reports, presentations and relevant information to senior management as required.- Ensures the effective development and use of information or record management systems or reporting practices- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented processes.- Prepare and present regular reports on project status, risks, and outcomes to APLL operations management and customer teams on a consistent cadence.- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommend further improvements
Collaboration
- Work closely with APLL operations and customer teams to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into project planning and execution.- Facilitate regular meetings and communication channels to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.- Establish efficient systems of operating to drive cross-functional collaboration.- Provide training and support to staff to ensure smooth adoption of new processes.- Lead change management efforts to facilitate successful project hand-off to the product/end owner.Qualifications:
College and above, Mathematics major is preferred.
Integrity with strong sense of trust and responsibility
Ability to learn new knowledge and skills quickly
Proficiency in MS Excel, SharePoint and other MS Office Applications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Ability to QA and validate own work
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Background in freight forwarding, consolidation and logistics is preferred
