Description:
The ACI Network engineer is responsible for the operational excellence of the Cisco ACI datacenter network in Boehringer Ingelheim worldwide. As member of the Datacenter Services APAC team, he/she is expected to work closely with other IT team, including the Managed Service team, to ensure Operational stability and process improvement to strive for standardization and automation in the ACI Network environment. He/She will also be actively participating in the migration project of the current Network centric to Application Centric structure.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As a member of the Datacenter Services team, the Cisco ACI DC Network engineer is responsible for:
Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Support the Software Defined Datacenter network infrastructure at Boehringer Ingelheim.
Administer and maintain the Cisco ACI environment globally
Automate routine tasks
Provisioning, management, orchestration, troubleshooting and perform root cause analysis.
Requirements:
Experience in Software Defined Network designs general and Migrations from network centric to application centric structure.
Experience in supporting large network infrastructures
Experience with implementing and managing Cisco Nexus 9K in ACI mode
Experience with OSI Layer 1 and 3 for ACI and Load balancer with knowledge in routing, switching and networking infrastructure
Experience with OSI Layer 4-7 for Load balancing
Familiar with CI/CD processes and DevOps framework
Mandatory Skills:
Good knowledge of automation and configuration management tools (eg Ansible, Terraform)
Good know-how in Network Load balancing technologies, preferably Citrix ADC - ITIL Knowledge
Strong customer and service orientation - Be able to work in a global diverse environment
Team oriented
Fluent English in written and verbal form
