The Role
Principal - Business Assurance
The role will work within the AMS Business Assurance Centre of Excellence (CoE) to support and manage a regional compliance framework which protects AMS and Client organisations from Legal, Financial, Regulatory and Reputational impacts.
The purpose of this role is to provide assurance that processes and controls are effective in ensuring AMS and Client specific standards have been met.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with Business Assurance and Compliance subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop knowledge and experience within this area, working as part of a regional and also global team.
Key Accountabilities

Partner closely with the PM CoE to provide SME Compliance support to Performance Managers
Drive policy compliance by monitoring all mandatory AMS training/policy awareness completion across the region
Support regional risk management framework by feeding any appropriate data and insight into Risk Management Process
Provide Safeguard Standards Assurance - monitoring of results and supporting to address gaps
Maintaining contracts and clients list for the region, storing contracts, providing access to contracts for central functions (finance, audit)
Support Issue/Incident Management by tracking and monitoring actions through to completion, ensuring everything that needs to be is done
Support driving continuous improvement and best practise by offering compliance insight when exploring best practise solutions
Support regional business continuity and disaster recovery planning
Skills & Experience
Excellent attention to detail with a strong ability to understand and follow a specific standard
Strong organisational skills, ability to follow schedules and keep trackers up to date in an accurate and timely manner
Good written and spoken English Language skills plus another Language as appropriate to the client-specific requirements.
Ability to identify risks, issues, or continuous improvement initiatives and raise these to the Business Assurance Manager.
Positive, proactive, and solution-orientated approach to work
Ability to "think wider" than just the Business Assurance Function to consider the impact on wider team and process when reviewing issues, risks, and changes
Strong confidence in liaising with colleagues of different levels; highlighting non-compliance and ensuring issues are remediated.
Flexible attitude to supporting with additional business assurance activities and changing priorities of workload
Genuine passion and enthusiasm for compliance and business assurance activities
Ability to analyse data / audit findings to identify trends, knowledge gaps, areas for improvement etc.
