What We'll Bring: As a key member of the Pricing team, the Pricing Consultant supports International Pricing, Product and Sales teams, providing insightful pricing analysis and reporting and advisory while owning several key pricing processes.
The Team's Focus
The Strategic Pricing team partners with Sales, Product Management and local leadership to determine the overall Pricing Strategy throughout the product lifecycle. Through competitive analysis and understanding products strengths and weaknesses in the marketplace, we aim to price optimize through competitive renegotiation or tactical price increases. As a trusted business partner you will assist in the role of a consultative business advisor to both determine and execute on pricing initiatives.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or other quantitative field and ability to apply key business and strategic principles
Accounting designation or MBA preferred
4+ years of relevant experience in a professional setting; previous pricing analytics experience preferred
Ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities, meet strict deadlines
Proficiency with analytics/visualization tools (Excel and Tableau; R, Python and Alteryx a plus)
Exceptional technical proficiency in both financial analysis, data manipulation
Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
Experience using Customer Relationship Management tools
Impact You'll Make:
Generating pricing proposals by evaluating and analyzing current prices, trends and pricing methodologies, and suggest changes from time to time
Support with analytical modeling and proposals for strategic deal pricing
Tracking outcomes of the pricing meetings, contracts executed, other pricing decisions and topics to have all-inclusive pricing data-set for deeper analysis
Preparation & solicit documents required for RFPs through research & structured evaluation
Managing and analyzing extensive data with tools like Tableau and Alteryx
Generating dashboards and pricing reports
Maintaining documentation control over all TransUnion price lists and related backup documents
Work with billing team to ensure all price campaign changes are reflected accurately in the system
Develop and deliver end to end customer repricing campaigns. Collaborate with Sales Leaders and executive management to identify potential price increase targets and build into sales account plans
Develop standardized pricing and processes for smaller customers
Build highly effective working relationships within the region across Sales, Product and key support functions (Finance, Billing, Legal & Compliance) to accomplish work priorities, and with pricing peers globally.
In conjunction with business systems owners / IT, develop data sets and systems infrastructure to support evolving business requirements of pricing function, (eg pricing intelligence tools analytical models) to improve the quality of pricing insights and decisions.
