The Price &Margin Management Officer is in charge of all price-related and commercial performance management processes and is primarily responsible for :
Creating and maintaining transparency on price-related information,Tracking and identifying opportunities for top-line growthchallenging constructively the sales, marketing and logistics/supply chain teams on pricing and commercial performance topics
JOB SCOPE
The Pricing & Business Intelligence Officer responsibilities shall be as follows:
Develop, implement and maintain a solid price structure (i.e. list price, discount and rebate management) in line with the pricing policy
Collect, review and processes publically available market data (i.e. market prices, market share, market size, demand, etc.)
Perform seasonality analysis (of volume & price) and analyze past price increase attempts; successes, failures, and delays (due to long negotiations, downstream prices, elections, etc.)
Track early price indicators and do effective price and margin forecasting; support price, volume and margin forecasting for monthly updates and rolling forecast
Monitor and analyze the competition; price increase announcements, recent pricing practices, etc. Perform effective market tracking after the price increase and prepare response scenarios in case of a major volume loss
Foster cross-functional alignment between sales, marketing, logistics /supply chain, controlling and administrative functions on price-related topics and other relevant initiatives
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
College graduate major in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing Research. Master Degree / MBA would be ideal
EXPERIENCE
Preferably with experience in Pricing Management, Market Research &/ or Data Analysis SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
Strong analytical skills, results-oriented, possess a sense of urgency, interpersonal skills highly required, seminars on management development, business processes, MSOffice proficient.
