The Premises Project Manager plans, designs and implements engineering projects within the scope of the ICRC's administration/premises objectives with supervision and coaching from the hierarchical superior. S/he monitors on-site works, carries out needs assessment and surveys. S/he has a close working relationship with external stakeholders related to the project. S/he is responsible for the implementation of premises construction works for the Butuan site.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans and organizes activities in coordination with Premises Technical Working Group
Draws up documents (drawings, bills of quantities, contracts, etc.) for engineering projects using approved formats, ensuring they consider internal standards in terms of electricity, communication means, water supply, and wastewater, parking lots, fuel storages, warehouse, passive security measures
Ensures all legal documents of the project are completed and submitted according to an agreed timeline
Monitors project implementation for compliance with project documents, ICRC standards, and the local building code/standards, ensuring corrective action is taken if necessary
Supervises contractors and on-site work for the project and conducts quality control during the design and construction of infrastructure set-up by the ICRC
Prepares implementation/progress reports at intervals set by the contractor and/or consolidates reports
Organizes and reports on regular meetings with the technical working group for updates and follow-up of the works
Networks with stakeholders, monitors security issues related to the project sites, and advises the technical working group where necessary; provides regular information to supervisors on security, stakeholder issues, and site progress
Prepares operation and maintenance manual of the project building; administers hand-over of the infrastructure installed
REQUIRED PROFILE
University degree in civil, structural engineering, architecture, or equivalent
3 - 5 years' practical experience in designing, implementing and monitoring building construction and civil works
Good knowledge on construction engineering and project management experience
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google Earth, MS project-management, drawing or other similar related application
Demonstrates ability to take initiative and work both in a team and with autonomy in a multidisciplinary approach
Awareness and respect of professional and institutional ethics
