Job Description
Location: Remote (PH-based only)
We are actively seeking an experienced Precast Concrete Estimator with a strong background in the Cranes industry, fluent in English, to join our team.
Job Summary:
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimations for construction projects, with a primary focus on Precast Concrete Panels (Erection and Installation) and a secondary focus on Structural Steel Estimating. Your expertise will include incorporating Crane Hours and Rigging Crew Man Hours into estimates, conducting precise Take Offs and quantity assessments, and collaborating with our Australian team. You will also liaise closely with Project Managers and Site Crew, manage variations, and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of tender documents and construction methodologies.
Key Role Focus Areas:
Construction Estimation: Produce accurate cost estimates for construction projects, with a primary emphasis on Precast
Concrete Panels (Erection and Installation) and a secondary focus on Structural Steel Estimating (Erection and Installation).
Crane and Rigging Integration: Include Crane Hours and Rigging Crew Man Hours in cost estimations to ensure comprehensive calculations.
Quantitative Precision: Execute meticulous Take Offs and quantity assessments to support precise cost estimation.
Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to our Australian team, maintaining transparent and effective communication channels.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Site Crew to align cost estimates with project realities and ensure seamless execution.
Variation Management: Play a crucial role in managing project variations, adjusting cost estimates as needed to accommodate changes.
Document Review: Conduct a thorough review and gain a deep understanding of tender documents to ensure a comprehensive grasp of project requirements.
Construction Methodologies: Apply your experience in developing and understanding construction methodologies to refine cost estimations.
Client and Stakeholder Consultation: Engage with clients, vendors, designers, and other stakeholders to discuss project requirements and formulate precise estimates.
Cost Trend Analysis: Identify cost trends and provide valuable insights to assist management decisions.
Successful Handover: Transition successfully estimated projects to the management team upon tender success.
Accurate Measurements: Measure lineal meters precisely and count Connections, Stitch Plates, and Grout Tubes.
Experience Requirements:
Similar Job Role Held: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the Australian New Zealand market.
Drawing Proficiency: Ability to read DWG 3D drawings and interpret PDF plans and IFC drawings.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with software such as COST-X, Ground Plan, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Excel for cost estimation.
Construction Experience: Proven experience in the Crane Industry, Precast Concrete Panels, and Structural Steel erection.
Software Use: Experience in using Cost X, Ground Plan, or similar software for cost estimation.
