Job Description
MTI Advanced Test Development Corp, the Philippine subsidiary of Microchip Technology Inc., is seeking a very experienced and capable Test Engineer.
In this position, you will engage in ATE test development, debug, and deploy test concepts on real silicon. You will perform analysis such as cp, cpk and six-sigma to verify silicon robustness as well as test program reliability. You will involve in ATE test development, debug and deploy test concepts on real silicon.
You will have an opportunity to expand your knowledge in FPGA silicon architectures, test methods and principles to deploy tests in ATE/Tester setup, cross-porting failures in full chip logic verification vs. bench vs. ATE.
You will work closely with Test Development Engineers, New Production Introduction engineers and Yield Enhancement engineers to ensure Microchip PRO division deploys new products with the highest quality and shortest time to market. Skills will be developed to work on multiple projects supporting key functions within the organization. Good communication and presentation skills are required.
Job Responsibilities
Work with both test development teams and new product introduction (DFT) teams.
Test program development, debug, implementation and sustaining for production, qualification testing and characterization of NPI. Development, debug, simulation and validation of manufacturing test vectors and test programs
Support setting up and testing devices using bench instruments as part of data collection or device debug when necessary.
Working with hardware development team for your design and implementation of test load boards. You may also be required to perform minor board modification yourself when necessary.
Involvement in "Margins Improvement" projects (e.g., test time reduction, yield improvement, yield improvement among others) with impact to cost, quality, and productivity. You will work with global engineering teams to maintain efficient and effective manufacturing.
As a very senior engineer, you will be asked to support activities, projects or initiatives that may not be directly related to your own goals. In these instances, we expect you to step up.
When the opportunity arises, you can be assigned as a project leader or a team leader in charge of supervising, mentoring, and coaching a team of technicians/engineers.
Job Requirements
BS or MS ECE or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in test program development using high-speed ATE platforms. Experience using Teradyne testers and IGXL platform is an advantage.
Experience in using bench instruments for debug or characterization.
Good understanding of schematics and layouts of PCB boards. Solid knowledge in circuit design and simulation
Superior written and oral communication skills
Self-driven and demonstrates strong personal leadership and project management skills.
Ability to work in a global multi-functional team environment and is flexible to accommodate tester usage and communication with global team members.
