Business Need/Purpose of role
At Weir's Global Shared Service office we are transforming back-office functions with technology to support the digital transformation efforts of our organization. Converting legacy processes to incorporate automation by leveraging Microsoft's Power Platform. We are looking for talented individuals who enjoy solving problems with technology; who have a keen sense of business to identify areas of opportunity to apply technology to create measurable, positive outcomes; and who have experience building solutions leveraging Microsoft's Power Platform. This role will span all areas of technology delivery including but not limited to business problem framing, requirements gathering, solution design, solution development, testing and support. To succeed in this role, you should have a technical, analytical, and Agile way of thinking; be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users; enjoy leveraging your skillset to build solutions on our core technologies; and enjoy learning new technologies to continually deliver value to the organization. The Power Platform Developer role is based in our Manilla office.
The successful candidate will have proven ability to:
Autonomously engage business customers to elicit opportunities to listen and learn business problems and needs
Proactively work with business customers and end-users to gather, understand, and frame business opportunities to deliver organizational value through Weir's core business technology
Develops user stories and process documentation to support the design and development of technology solutions
Designs and develops end-to-end solutions leveraging low code and no code solutions technologies including but not limited to SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Dataverse.
Supports end-users to ensure business objectives are met and describe business outcomes achieved.
About you:
2-5 years in a Power Platform developer, systems analyst, business system analyst role
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent preferred
At least 2 years of experience as a SharePoint site owner and/or administrator with demonstrated skill in developing SharePoint solutions leveraging lists, document libraries, and workflows. Knowledge and skill leveraging SharePoint Designer is a plus
At least 2 years of experience in developing solutions leveraging Microsoft Power Platform. Must have experience working with Power Automate with demonstrated increasing solution development complexity. Experience with Power Apps is highly desirable
Experience with Workflows, Processes, and APEX triggers is a plus
Demonstrated understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTML, and CSS
Knowledge/experience with Power BI and light data mining is a plus
Knowledge/experience with ERPs is a plus and specific experience with Microsoft Business Central 365 is highly desirable
Skilled in building, maintaining, and influencing working relationships with project teams
Skilled in oral and written communication
