As a core member of our Product Development team you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.
Your Role:
As Postgres Developer, you will be working as part of a cross-functional product team and will be responsible for designing and implementing RDS Postgres databases for our proprietary accounting system.
You will be part of a culture of innovation where you'll use AWS services to help team solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products/services to the market.
Design and implement Postgres databases
Database design and configuration
Database performance tuning and scaling
Trouble shoot performance issues at both configuration and code levels
Contribute in the architecting of HA and DR solutions
Implement logging and monitoring solutions
Fleet management and automation

About You:
5+ years of professional hands-on database development and or database administration
2+ years Postgres experience (AWS RDS/Aurora experience preferred)
1 year of AWS RDS and DMS experience
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of RDBMS tuning
Advanced knowledge in PL/pgSQL, SQL troubleshooting and tuning
Solid understanding and demonstrated proficiency with core software development processes - debugging, code tuning, code management and branching, coding styles and refactoring.
Good proficiency in improving performance and reliability of production databases
Hands-on skills operating in Linux and Windows
Working knowledge of application architecture, networking, security, reliability and scalability concepts
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the following competencies: Creativity, technical analysis, and problem solving, communication, multitasking and client service.
Must be self-motivated and driven. Strong ability to work with in house resources and vendors
