Job Description
Your goal as a Portfolio Collection Analyst is to respond to customer inquiries in order to get their accounts current. Primarily handles contacts with customer via outbound communication (Phone, email, etc..) mediums.
Collection activities include:
Collects, manages and provides resolution of outstanding invoices from past due accounts in a defined book of business (assigned portfolios).
Assist account in enrolling in autopay and payment schedules.
Investigating delinquent accounts providing appropriate documentation to customers when needed.
Making recommendations to release orders on past due accounts and investigates bankruptcy claims.
Directly communications with customers though customer's preferred means to ensure the account stays current.
May coordinate efforts and/or refer accounts to third party action when internal collections are not
Maintain/update records and files and generates related reports.
Work closely with clients, some of which are Fortune 500 Companies, and Thomson Reuters internal staff to resolve client disputes and follow through to satisfactory resolution which results in payment of invoices.
Manage the decision process on service interruptions for customers when payments cannot be negotiated within a set strategy and timeline.
Liaise with Finance to ensure thorough financial analyses of the viability of commercial propositions.
Suggest & implements improvements to current practice.
Understands and follows established collections ways-of-working.
Applies company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
