We are Hiring:
 
POLISHING MANAGER
 
Location : Tac-an Road, Talamban, Cebu City
Work schedule : 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday; 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday
Employment : Full-time
 
Qualification:
 
Educational Background
Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
Vocational/Technical training in woodworking, finishing, or spray painting can with strong work experience.
Work Experience
5-10 years experience in wood finishing/polishing, spray painting, staining, and varnishing work
3-5 years supervisory or managerial experience in a wood furniture manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with:
Wood sanding and surface preparation
Staining, sealing, lacquering, PU, NC, or water-based finishes
Color matching and quality control standards
Spray booth operations and curing processes
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of wood finishing materials (stains, sealers, topcoats, thinners, etc.).
Familiarity with finishing defects (orange peel, runs, blushing, fisheye, etc.) and corrective actions.
Understanding of finishing equipment:
Spray guns (HVLP, airless)
Ability to read finish specifications and customer color standards.
Experience in mixing colors and achieving uniformity across batches
Management & Leadership Skills
Ability to lead a team of polishers, spray painters, sanders, and helpers.
Capable of planning production schedules, manpower allocation, and meeting output targets.
Strong coaching and training skills for finishing staff.
Good communication and coordination with Production teams, QC, and Planning teams.
Quality & Safety Requirements
Understanding of health and safety protocols, especially in handling chemicals and operating spray booths.
Ability to implement 5S and continuous improvement processes
