We are Hiring:
 
Position : POLISHING ENGINEER
Location : Tac-an Road, Talamban, Cebu City
Work schedule : 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday; 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday
Employment : Full-time
 
Qualification:
 
Educational Background
Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
Work Experience
3-5 years working as wood furniture engineer manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with:
Wood sanding and surface preparation
Staining, sealing, lacquering, PU, NC, or water, solvent based finishes
Color matching and quality control standards
Spray booth operations and curing processes
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of wood finishing materials (stains, sealers, topcoats, thinners, etc.).
Familiarity with finishing defects (orange peel, runs, blushing, fisheye, etc.) and corrective actions.
Understanding of finishing equipment:
Ability to read finish specifications and customer color standards.
Experience in mixing colors and achieving uniformity across batches
Management & Leadership Skills
Ability to lead a team of polishers, technician, line leaders and paint mixers
Capable of planning production schedules, manpower allocation, and meeting output targets.
Strong coaching and training skills for finishing staff.
Good communication and coordination with Production teams, QC, and planning teams.
Quality & Safety Requirements
Understanding of health and safety protocols, especially in handling chemicals and operating spray booths.
Ability to implement 5S and continuous improvement processes
