The Pod Captain is a SME in their functional area (Recruitment Support, Interviewing Support, TA Coordination or Sourcing) responsible for helping to drive quality and productivity within specific pods/groups in the recruitment support team. The Pod Captain acts as a brand ambassador for the client. As an individual contributor the Pod Captain will have a focus on the team they support including reviewing, sourcing, and screening active and passive candidates for open and pipeline hiring needs, conducting interviews of candidates or scheduling and coordination of TA activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop training plans and train new team members in collaboration with the Delivery Lead.
Provide daily coaching and direction to the team they support, including leading team huddles to ensure information is shared appropriately.
Train new employees
Act as an SME for day-to-day questions from within the assigned pod/group on processes and work direction.
Monitor team member calls and review mobile and email campaigns for quality and compliance with established procedures.
Audit and monitor workload, processes, and procedures for compliance, providing feedback and recommendations for enhancements to leadership.
Manage daily productivity reporting, daily verification of data for the assigned pod/group.
Act as the first line of escalation to ensure appropriate levels of leadership are involved.
Provide reporting specific to their functional area team and the client teams in which they support.
Working with DL to ensure team is appropriately covered during PTO, including providing the individual contributor support for the team member who may be on PTO (backup coverage, etc)
Provide client specific training to new hires at the on the job/desk level, resource ongoing as SME for client specific team in which they support.
In addition to performing their individual contributor duties, the Pod Captain also leads by example by performing at a high level in the areas of communication, time management, collaboration, and organization.
Provide coaching and best practices to their team members to ensure they also are performing at and above expectations.
Provide Pastoral care for team members whose leader isn't on site, including conducting face to face interviews.
Liaise with DL and/or operations leaders for work specific/ work location issues
Coordinate team functions for DL and CS
Coordinate center specific communications and functions for main DL.
Requirements:
Experience
A minimum of two years of experience in a business or office environment in an RPO or human resources organization. Strong customer service and administrative skills.
Exposure
General knowledge of recruitment industry and RPO preferred, including Applicant Tracking Systems
Experience in training on processes and systems.
Analytical skills with the ability to assess key data.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred
Location: This role is open to remote candidates residing in the U.S. except within the state of Colorado.
