My client a Chemical MNC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Engineer to join our team. Your responsibilities will include overseeing equipment maintenance, optimizing maintenance strategies, training technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) programs for plant equipment, ensuring the continued reliability and operational readiness of critical machinery.
Manage day-to-day PM and CM activities, including equipment-related matters, drawing updates, vendor evaluations, and the exploration of new tools and technologies to enhance maintenance efficiency.
Oversee the training and development of technicians, both new and experienced, in technical work, ensuring a skilled and competent workforce.
Establish and monitor maintenance programs, Key Process Indicators (KPIs), and condition monitoring techniques to analyze critical equipment performance and optimize maintenance processes.
Develop and implement cost-effective maintenance strategies, identifying opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining high-quality standards.
Participate in Engineering Change Request (ECR) meetings, follow up on action items, and collaborate on process and equipment improvement initiatives.
Liaise with vendors on technical matters and address technical issues as needed to ensure equipment performance and reliability.
Establish and maintain standards related to equipment, spare parts, and other technical aspects to maintain consistency and quality.
Assist in equipment troubleshooting when technicians encounter complex issues or require support in identifying root causes of problems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in plant engineering and maintenance.
Strong working knowledge of chemical processes and equipment
Basic knowledge of PLC and control systems.
Familiarity with Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) regulations.
Proficiency in computer literacy, including relevant software tools for maintenance and data analysis.
Strong data analysis skills to support decision-making.
Self-disciplined, meticulous, and resourceful team player with a positive working attitude.
