PLANT COST ACCOUNTANT
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises the day-to-day Finance activities of all Maynilad Plants.
Assist in collecting cost information and maintain an expenses database.
Work with suppliers and Engineers to resolve issues in work order and ensure timely closing in SAP.
Follow up SIPAM from concerned departments and request for root cause analysis.
Work with suppliers, SCM and AP Team to resolve AP issues
Assist the Finance Business Partner to establish and maintain standard costs
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies on a regular basis
Support the preparation of plant budget.
Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts
Assist in month-end and year-end closing
Prepare manufacturing costs and data, purchase price variances, production variances and inventory budgeting/reporting
Oversee Inventory Management Process of (receipt, issuance, and returns) of Chemicals, spare parts and Office supplies
Assists in physical inventory and operational audits for multiple locations
Records and reports cost information for use in controlling expenditures, conducting audits as necessary
Compiles cost information to be used in both capital and operating budget preparation
Work closely with Inventory Department managers to coordinate Raw materials, Finished Goods and Maintenance parts physical inventory
Ensures compliance of Plant to month-end activities
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL LICENSES
Graduate of BS in Accountancy
WORK EXPERIENCE
With at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in Plant Finance, Variance Analysis and Process Improvement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
English and Filipino communication skills in all forms: written, oral, and listening Analytical skills
Understanding of processes, standards, and systems to enhance customer experience
Inclined to ideate and innovate
Working knowledge of MS Office applications
Problem-solving skills
Business acumen
Interpersonal skills
