Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures all equipments (i.e. hydrocollator and paraffin wax bath) are plugged in at the start of duty and unplugged at the end of the duty.Performs and documents patient assessment/history related to procedures and provides patient care to meet patients’ physical and psychological needs.
Ensures that battery operated equipments i.e. TENS are fully charged and ready for use each day. Communicates with other clinic support staff to ensure continuity and appropriateness of patient care.
Checks all equipments for malfunctions and problems to ensure that it is safe for patient's use. Makes report on machine malfunctions and problems whenever necessary.
Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the PT room
Conducts assessment procedures and special tests to evaluate the patient's condition before initializing treatment.
Performs necessary treatment procedures based on physical therapy assessment and doctors prescribed management
Monitors the patient's condition throughout the PT sessions to avoid any untoward incidences. Eliminate or minimize all hazards that may affect patient during the treatment session whenever necessary
Conducts physical therapy session with utmost adherence to the rules of ethics of the profession as well as its duties and responsibilities dictated by OT-PT law
Discuss the schedule of the next physical therapy session with the patients before concluding the session
