Primary Function:
The SCM Supervisor is responsible for the following functions;
Planning - review and analyze the demand, inventory, and production capacity. This position is responsible on analyzing the requirements for finished goods as provided by the Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system.
Purchasing - review and analyze purchase requisition, purchase order, freight, and delivery status of vendor. Interprets purchasing procedures, vendor performance and production consumption.
This position requires the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Functions: * Interprets and communicates purchasing procedures to departments; assists departments in initiating requisitions, orders, and solves problems with vendors.
Coordinate any quality issue encounter production floor to vendor.
Send monthly forecast and analyze vendor capacity if can meet the required demand
Review MOQ, Safety Stock and Leadtime monthly to assess vendor performance
Built exceptional rapport with suppliers and transportation companies to create seamless operations
Participate on and support assigned Business Unit for achievement of production team goals and improvement of the production activities.
Analyze and interpret computer generated MRP reports to develop and maintain continuous material flow and balanced production workload based on material availability, customer requests, economic run quantities, and production capacity.
Analyze and follow-up on procurement of fabricated components, as well as raw material to prevent material shortages and/or overstocking due to customer requested schedule changes, design changes, rejected parts.
Acknowledge customer orders based on stock availability and/or lead time in a timely and accurate manner.
Assure that all necessary system changes are made to accommodate customer changes: increases, decreases, and reschedules.
Responsible for affecting implementation of ECN generated changes into work orders to ensure the proper construction of finished goods.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree holder or above.
Preferably with 5-year experience in demand analytics and purchasing.
Experience in dealing with foreign vendors and customers.
Working knowledge of MRP systems, just in time concepts and respective production processes.
SAP system experience focusing on planning and purchasing modules.
Excellent organizational skills for managing large volumes of components part numbers.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work effectively with diverse and cross-functional groups.
Excellent attention to administrative detail to include timely analysis, follow through, and final resolution.
Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
Knowledge of materials, products, and the commodity market in area of specialization.
Open minded and cooperative
With good communication and negotiation skills
Familiar with direct materials is an advantage
