Job Description
What will your normal day look like?
The Technical Writer is required to distill technical information with ease and clarity so that end users are able to comprehend potentially complex and confusing technical subjects. The primary focus of the role will be the creation of technical content as it relates to TSA's proprietary Oberon contact centre platform, built on Amazon's Connect architecture and housed in AWS.
The core content to be produced by the Technical Content Writer will take the form of product manuals, user guides, how-to-guides, API develop guides, in platform documentation (tooltips, welcome instructions, etc), procedures, processes, user manuals and work instructions to be leveraged by TSA's internal contact centre teams operating on Oberon, as well as both technical support teams and end users within TSA's partner organisations to whom TSA delivers Oberon as a managed service. The Technical Content Writer will also build and maintain client aids that go beyond traditional documentation, such as online videos, demos, guided tours and other educational techniques.
The Technical Writer will be responsible for identifying and reviewing all existing documentation, as well as capturing requirements for new documentation, with product owners to revise, optimise and continuously refine the content, gathering customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.
The Technical Writer will also be leveraged to support content creation within TSA's contact centre operations team on an as-needed-basis.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree
At least 2 years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the BPO industry
Knowledge of technical platforms and languages, with previous experience writing technical content related to Amazon Connect highly desirable
Excellent communication, organisation, and documentation skills
Adaptable and flexible approach to work
Ability to work autonomously, including excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Analytical mind in analysing business processes, behaviours and trends
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Personal effectiveness taking responsibility to ensure successful results meet or exceed expectations
Demonstrates a strong work ethic and committed to seeing tasks through to completion
