SUMMARY OF ROLE
SunPower is seeking a Senior Permit Coordinator for the Residential Business Unit. The Senior Permit Coordinator is responsible for the organization of the solar permit package, timely submission to the local city government, and coordination with various internal or external stakeholders to secure a solar permit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Works remotely and independently to support the Permit Team in the U.S.
Organizes, verifies, uploads submittals for permits that can be done digitally or virtually.
Completes all Project Tasks in Salesforce
Maintains, monitors, and manages pipeline of permits in Salesforce
Keenly follows the Standard Operating Procedures in Permit Processing
Communicates responsively and professionally through emails and calls to internal and external colleagues, consistently upholding the SunPower branding
Develops and maintains good rapport with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) Officers and Permit Runners
Has a general understanding of state and local code requirements
Efficiently interprets AHJ requirements and coordinates with the correct group or individuals to ensure compliance
Attends bi-weekly Permit Team meetings
Closes the loop with cross-functional support group
Facilitates process knowledge transfer to the Design Team
Performs other duties as assigned
RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
College Graduate, with a preferred degree in Bachelor of Science in Engineering
At least 3-4 years of related work experience
Proficiency in MS Office suite
Competent in using reports and dashboards in Salesforce
Able to read and understand PV design submittals - array layout and single line diagrams
Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work nightshift, weekends and US/PH holidays
