This opportunity is great if you are looking to dive deeper into people operations functions around hiring, retaining and empowering staff, while working in a collaborative and fun environment.
The People Operations Associate role is a full-time position. We are looking for someone who has a passion for getting things done. This role requires an energetic, dedicated and detail-oriented person who can effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks.
What will you do as our People Operations Associate?
Recruitment
Support with campaigns to attract candidates in multiple locations.
Post job opportunities in our main ATS and advertise them widely.
Manage calendar events and communication with candidates.
Employee engagement
Assist with employee lifecycle management (onboarding, retention, offboarding, etc)
Support with employee engagement initiatives.
Support with large-scale initiatives around learning and development and employee wellness.
Internal operations
Assist with planning, writing and managing e-blasts and Slack updates.
Design events, programs fliers, graphics and other visual materials
Support with event coordination and other communications and administrative support tasks, as assigned.
Support with workplace management, virtually or in-person (if applicable).
During your first 3 months, you'll have the opportunity to...
Build relationships with your team lead and other team members
Get to know our global, diverse staff via Slack, Google Meet and Zoom.
Get familiar with the People Operations processes, tools, and platforms.
Work with the Associate Director of People Operations to post new job opportunities, source candidates through networking and online databases, coordinate interviews, communicate with candidates, and more.
Research and brainstorm programs and initiatives for our Devexers.
Get familiar with the tools that centralize global communication, encourage documentation, and facilitate alignment across all of Devex.
Be able to identify our current strengths and gaps and propose solutions.
By the end of your first year, you'll...
Manage the monthly global programs and initiatives for our Devexers.
Manage the internal newsletter and other staff communications.
Support special projects like staff retreats.
Own the full onboarding process for Associate and Senior Associate roles.
Lead interviews and professional reference checks.
Be proficient with all things Devexers and internal operations.
Support with managing platforms, like Lattice.
Support people programs involving employee experience, virtual events, engagement, and recognition.
Help with maintaining open channels of communication on People policies and processes.
About our team
The People Operations team is led by its Associate Director. In collaboration with the Administration and Finance teams, we keep our internal operations up and running to support our global staff in multiple ways.
The primary goal for the People Operations team is to attract and retain talent at Devex. We do this by nurturing a collaborative environment, fostering clear communication and prioritizing our well-being. We're a mission-driven social enterprise and our team works to make each Devexer's experience more meaningful, productive and fun!
Our tech stack
We are looking for someone who has familiarity with Human Resources and Applicant Tracking Systems platforms. Lattice, GoCo, Smart Recruiters and Slack are our main tools. You don't need to be an expert on these platforms, but be ready to learn how to use them!
Working hours
We're a global team and there will be flexibility with your working hours, depending on your location. Ideally, this position will serve the 10am-7pm GMT hours.
Qualifications
Here are the basic requirements we're looking for in the role...
Previous experience working in customer success, human resources, or recruitment.
Previous experience in a similar role preferable in an international or multicultural environment.
Fluent level of English, both written and verbal.
Bachelor's degree or a certificate in a related field (human resources, psychology, communications, etc.).
Comfortable working in a remote environment.
Enthusiasm and willingness to be a team player.
Has a strong attention to detail.
You have a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with total discretion.
Nice-to-haves
Besides the basics, here's what we'd love to see you have experience in...
Knowledge of ATS, and other related tools
Previous experience with recruitment activities (sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates)
HRCI or SHRM or similar HR Certification a plus
Knowledge of a second language (Spanish, Catalan, French, German, etc).
Familiarity with taxation laws and visa processes (ideally US and/or Spanish laws)
Marketing skills, social media management.
