Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a People & Organisation Advisor to be based in Manila to provide an integrated P&O service aligned to achieving business objectives while effectively representing the P&O function and Wood's Values.
Areas of responsibility will extend across Philippines and international work locations. This role requires P&O Generalist experience and a solid base understanding of all areas of P&O inclusive of recruitment, logistics and training & competency. The successful candidate will contribute to and support the business unit and P&O function, as an integral member of each, in the achievement of objectives linked to business strategy, growth and development.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall P&O advisory and P&O support to business unit leaders and employees
Manager a diverse P&O Team to deliver organisation goals and objectives in line with P&O best practice and company values.
Oversee and support effective end to end recruitment activities.
Ensure all P&O related activities comply with the local labour legislation in the Philippines
Monitor existing resources and liaise with relevant divisions to ensure that workers are processed in accordance with the Client and Project Mobilization Plan.
Responsible in monitoring manpower movement (among current projects) with other Logistics; recommends available existing workforce on R&R or pool to fill a position, in collaboration with Construction and P&O Team.
Liaise with external recruitment agencies and plan effectively for future requirements.
Prepare and report as required, such as headcount, attrition and demographic etc.
Liaise effectively with benefits team to understand entitlements and be focal point for employee queries.
Responsible in ensuring pre-mobilization processes are carried out, these include but not limited to: HR and HSE induction, mobilization/departure orientation (travel advisory) etc.
Liaise with Manpower Agencies, POEA, Travel agencies and other external providers related to mobilisation of personnel such as Exit Clearance, flights, hotel accommodation and transport.
Monitoring and Implementation of P&O Policies and Procedure
Be an active role model and lead by example to promote the Wood values and Code of Business Conduct
Skills / Qualifications
Degree level qualification in Human Resources or Business Management background desirable but not essential
Minimum ten (10) years progressive experience in Human Resources preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
Experience in HR Generalist role / capacity, including Personnel Logistics, Talent Management, Rewards and Systems, Employee Relations & Welfare Payroll and Organizational Development is much desired
Understanding of POEA Processes and the overseas deployment of workers.
Excellent English communication skills
Ability to converse and work with people at all levels of the organisation
Ability to provide accurate and efficient service under the pressure of constant deadlines
Proactive problem solver and ability to multi task
Be trustworthy in dealing with confidential and sensitive information
Can establish good working relationship with stakeholders and keep them informed of actions
Strong team working ethic, including proactive willingness to assist colleagues with greater workloads and in the wider team
Skilled in organising tasks and establishing priorities to meet deadlines and achieve results
