Our PCB Design Engineer is part of the PCB Design Team supporting NCR's multiple product design teams across the globe.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Design multilayer printed circuit boards while meeting established design rules, methodology and quality standards of the Hardware Development process using Cadence Allegro tools.
Apply layout specific requirements for highly sensitive circuits.
Apply EMC and ESD considerations during PCB layout.
Collaborate with mechanical engineering team to define and verify board outline, mounting holes, keep-out areas and height constraints.
Collaborate with electrical engineers for parts placement and routing requirements.
Apply electronic circuit knowledge to identify basic design errors.
Generate schematic drawing, BOM, gerber package, bare board documentation and assembly documentation for PCB manufacturing.
Build and or review schematic symbols and PCB footprints from component datasheets.
Basic Qualifications:
BS Electronics and Communications Eng'g or BS Computer Eng'g or equivalent
1-2 years solid PCB Layout experience.
Experience using equivalent PCB CAD tools such as Mentor Graphics or Altium
Good English communication and writing skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Cadence Allegro tools for PCB layout
Knowledgeable on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) standards.
Ability to implement technology specific requirements using the Allegro Constraints Manager
IPC standards basic background
Knowledgeable on documentation control and revision control
Knowledge of standard graphical symbols and naming conventions for electrical/electronic components
Able to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
Able to support multiple foreign counterparts.
Flexibility to support possible different shift on a case to case basis.
Can handle pressure specially when requests are high.
