PAYROLL SUPERVISOR
Job Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
Verify timekeeping records for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Supervision and Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of payroll staff
Provide training and guidance to payroll staff
Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any issues or concerns within the team
Compliance:
Stay updated on changes in payroll regulation and tax laws
Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations
Work with legal and finance departments to implement changes in payroll policies as necessary
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized payroll records.
Generate and distribute payroll reports to relevant departments
Collaboration:
Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate employee data and seamless integration of payroll activities
Address and resolve payroll-related inquires from employees
Audits:
Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits related to payroll
Ensure that payroll processes adhere to audit standards and requirements
System Maintenance:
Work with IT and HRIS teams to ensure payroll systems are up-to-date and functioning correctly
Implement system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
Problem Resolution:
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues
Address employee concerns related to payroll
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in payroll processing or a related field is required
Familiarity with payroll software and systems is a asset
Accuracy is crucial in payroll processing, so keen attention to detail is essential
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees and other departments
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
Has experience in BPO or in a fast-paced work environment that has handled at least 800 FTEs is a plus
