Job Summary:
The role is Payroll Supervisor, should be capable to administer end-to-end payroll processing, ensure SLAs are met, liaise with the payroll vendor and internal stake holders for payroll inputs etc. Role involves team management across countries. Must be a team player. The position is based out in Philippines - Manila. We have a team in Philippines of 2 and Rest of the 2 team members handling Php payroll are based in India.
What You Will Do:
Develops implements and controls all tasks necessary to accomplish payroll processing objectives.
Organizes and reviews forms associated with federal, state and local authorities, such as W-2s.
Oversees distribution of paychecks or arranges direct deposit programs.
Ensures payroll records are updated and reports on any matters of interest.
Manages a staff of analysts/associates and ensures performance objectives are met.
Reconciles all tax and unemployment liability accounts to the general ledger and investigates variances.
Assists with preparation of quarterly payroll tax reporting and researches and resolves payroll/tax reporting issues.
Works closely with technical departments to implement process improvements, test system changes and lead special projects within the payroll department.
Balances weekly and/or monthly payroll ledger, researches exception items and takes corrective action.
Other related duties assigned as needed.
What You Will Bring:
Must have skills/tools/experience: MS Office - well versed in Excel and hands on experience in any payroll tool, payroll migration will be an advantage.
8 to 10 years experience in payroll and at least 3 years in supervisory role
Must be amenable to work onsite (3 times a week). Office locations are at Cyberscape Alpha Bldg (Pasig City; near Ortigas MRT Station) and Ecoplaza Bldg (Makati City; near Magallanes MRT Station)
Must be willing to work usually from 10am to 7pm
Knowledge of company accounting procedures
Knowledge and understanding of federal and state labor and tax regulations
Knowledge and understanding of auditing guidelines
Knowledge of computerized payroll systems, tax codes, reporting requirements
Knowledge of tax sheltered annuities, flex benefits, etc.
Ability to implement payroll procedures and system specifications
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
