JOB SUMMARY:
As an integral part of the Finance team, the Payroll Checker must be meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The Payroll Checker will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll processing, including reviewing and verifying payroll data, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and verify payroll data for accuracy and completeness, including hours worked, deductions, and earnings.
Ensure compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and relevant legislation.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors in payroll records.
Calculate adjustments, deductions, and withholdings as necessary.
Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to address payroll-related inquiries and issues.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and other stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of payroll tax returns and compliance filings.
Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
At least 2 years of proven experience in payroll processing or related field.
Strong understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Discretion and integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information.
