Payroll Specialist (Night Shift)

Position Overview
Our Payroll Specialist position provides integral support in processing for both hourly and salaried teammates for our biweekly and semimonthly US payroll cycles. This teammate will interface with all levels of employees and management daily. The Payroll Specialist receives payroll information, reviews data, and is responsible for accurate input into our systems for processing.
What you'll do at Insight
·Organize, prioritize and meet deadlines with an accurate attention to detail while working with frequent interruptions and minimum supervision.
·Perform high-volume detailed work with accuracy, assume responsibility, independently make sound fact-based decisions for daily tasks; maintain confidentiality.
·Communicate effectively (verbal and written) and establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with teammates.
·Respond to teammate inquiries regarding salaries, wages, deductions and benefits and tactfully address complaints and make payroll adjustments as needed.
·Complete appropriate changes to employee direct deposits, tax changes, benefit changes, etc.; investigate questionable forms prior to processing.
·Handle payroll cycle steps for all employee changes such as terminations, transfers, promotions, rehires, new hires, leave of absence, and state moves.
·Calculate final pay for terminations and adjustments per state legislation and company policy.
·Create payroll submission by formatting csv files, uploading and modifying batches in ADP.
·Contact ADP to address teammate issues or process questions.
·Review mail and uploads documents to ADP for tax and garnishment services.
·Validate accuracy of biweekly and/or semimonthly payroll submissions using standardized processes and reviewing reports prior to Senior Payroll Specialist's review.
·Responsible for bringing compliance issues to the attention of Management.
Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the department
What you'll need to join Insight
·College graduate
·Minimum 2 years' experience within a payroll specialist/admin role, or other highly detailed finance/accounting role.
·Experience with payroll administration, tax and/or garnishments preferred.
·Demonstrated ability working in a deadline orientated environment
·Must be able to handle employee issues in a professional and timely manner. Accuracy is a must.
·Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member.
