Key Task:
• Processing payroll weekly and fortnightly
• Setting up new starters and processing terminations
• Award & EBA interpretation
• Manually coding timesheets
• Maintenance of payroll
• Assist with payroll related queries
Requirements
• Experience in payroll, and the use of a computerised payroll system (eg Payglobal, Peoplesoft), or other
• relevant database
• Preferred years of experience: 3-5 years with medium to large payroll for an Australian Company
• Strong English
• Verbal and written communication skills - needs to able to communicate over the phone and email
• Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in a similar role within the Mining, Construction and/or Oil & Gas industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction industry awards
• High level of attention to detail
• Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively
• with staff on all levels
• Proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and identify and deal with problems
• MS Office Skills - Excel (Intermediate), Word, Outlook as per MS Office Skills matrix
• Maintains good attendance and punctuality
• Able to complete set daily tasks
• Amenable to work onsite
