Job Description
We are looking for a qualified Payroll Officer to join our People team. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for tracking and managing our company's payroll data. You will be required to track employee work hours, prepare compensation checks, calculate bonuses and allowances, and respond to employee questions related to wages and deductions.
Collects, links and validates all payroll transactions (such as overtimes, night differentials, leaves, tardiness, and other deductions)
Sends and updates Leave Balances
Prepares, processes and releases payroll via a Timekeeping and Payroll System
Processes and monitors the release of regular and final pay checks
Prepares and releases Certificates of Employment
Updates and ensures accuracy of Company HRIS or Employee Master List information
Conducts monthly internal audit to ensure that HR documents are updated and complete in accordance with the set compliance standards (i.e. ISO, SOX, PCIDSS, etc.)
Participates and assists in the implementation of HR-initiated programs and activities
Acts as HR's helpdesk support, exerting all efforts and exhausting various possibilities to provide employees the service they require within the agreed guidelines
Provides quality customer service in every interaction and transaction, applying the most stringent business ethics per the Company Core Values, principles and standards
Speaks of ideas clearly and articulately in all presentation and situation may it be for internal or external clients
Relays relevant announcements, updates and new procedures to all departments and employees concerned
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk or similar role
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Hands-on experience with an HRIS or any equivalent payroll software
Knowledgeable of labor laws
Excellent people skills, attention to detail
Excellent time management & organisational skills
Self-motivated, ability to work autonomously and as a Team Player
Ability to handle confidential information

WORKING LOCATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Our teams are currently working from home however, this role will be based in our Makati head offices once circumstances allow. In order to be considered for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate your home working environment is as follows:
conducive home office (free from noise and distraction)
main internet: wired internet of at least 5mbps
reliable back up internet: at least 3mbps speed
