Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Represent the client Group's vision, values & behaviours
- Achieve goals, targets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) asset
- Maintain a high level of professional performance by adhering to the client Group Code of Conduct Policy
- Adhere to all client Group policies, procedures, processes, and authority matrix
- Maintain a safe working culture at all times within the context of your role
- Ensure there are sufficient resources to meet the health and safety commitments in the Occupational Health and Safety Policy and all staff is trained in the safe performance of their assigned tasks
- Compile employee time and payroll data from timesheets and other records and process payroll data
- Process new employee's information into the system.
- Process and issue employee pay envelopes and statements of earnings and deductions
- Review timesheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
- If necessary, verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments with brand office and post information onto designated records
- Prepare tax invoices to clients for the supply of on-hired workers
- Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases
- Keep informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process
- Provide information to fellow employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans, and other related provisions
- Prepare and balance period-end reports, and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements. Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts, and submit them to appropriate departments
- Assist the consultants in satisfying customer needs and solving issues as needed by providing effective payroll service or administrative support for recruitment consultants and the branch offices
- Coordinate and process relevant documentation, correspondence, and forms to comply with division or company recruitment procedures. Ensure accurate and timely database maintenance
- Ensure a high level of service is always provided to consultants, clients, and candidates
- Achieve goals/targets and KPI's as set with your Manager or as per team objectives
- Prepare and collate reports as per divisional requirements
- Attend reception duties as required
- Other duties as directed by your supervisor or manager
Minimum Qualifications
- VCE or equivalent
- Australian Payroll experience
A Successful Candidate must have
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- High level of verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Modern Awards, rates of pay, conditions of employment, and employment legislation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to be proactive in their approach to providing solutions and positive customer experiences
- Ability to be organised and able to meet competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer focus skills
- Ability to be driven and displays enthusiasm to achieve goals
