Job Purpose
To be responsible for the end to end payroll process review of the ROHQ, comply with statutory laws and policies and to work under the guidance of local Financial Controller and has a dotted-line reporting to Global Payroll Manager which is based in Cambridge, United Kingdom.
Key Accountabilities
Manage the end to end payroll process from HR's preparation of payroll instructions up to the review of final payroll register released by a third party payroll outsource team. To be able to improve processes where needed.
Resolve difficult enquiries by identifying payroll errors and disputes and implementing corrective action where required to ensure employee salaries are processed accurately and database integrity is maintained.
Review all final pay computations for resigned employees and has the ability to challenge payroll outsource team's computations.
Manage payroll operations and audit controls by creating policies and procedures to be followed by the business and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Ensure that operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities (including payroll reconciliation, salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting) are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant Philippine labour and tax laws.
Review all tax related documentations required by HR from hiring up to resignation of an employee.
Assist the Financial Controller in analysing payroll information for financial reporting purposes. Keen in details.
Assist the Financial Controller to meet the organisations taxation, superannuation and other legislative and statutory obligations in reviewing all annual reportorial requirements prepared by payroll outsource team and to be able to ensure that deadlines are being met.
Complete payroll related and cost of employment journals, reallocation of benefits and balance sheet reconciliations that effect payroll codes.
Maintain service level agreements with 3rd party payroll & benefits providers.
Challenge and review health and medical benefits documentations provided by heath provider in the replenishment of actual health claims.
Ad hoc reporting and other duties as required outside payroll period
Key Personal Attributes
Demonstrate experience of working in a global company and balancing the demands of local management with those of head office.
Strong English language skills.
Taken a Certified Payroll Professional course and exam known as CPP is an advantage.
Preferably a Certified Public Accountant with 3-5 years of working experience.
Strong knowledge with accounting process, local taxation, labour laws and ROHQ operations
