An exciting Payroll Accountant job has become available at a global shared services company based in Makati City.
About the Payroll Accountant Role:
Reporting directly to a Team Leader, you will be in charge of reviewing payroll-related payments and exit wage computation, compliance process related to government mandated contributions, crew pensions, and union dues.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend to payroll helpdesk within SLA
Review payroll-related payments and exit wage computation prepared by the accounts analysts
Handle the recording of cash transactions related to remittances
Handle closing process for crew onboard wages
Accounts analysis and reconciliation
Attend to operational, internal and external audit requirements
Gather, interpret, and use complex data to develop actionable steps to improve processes and optimise results
Provide quality analysis to support business partners and organisation's stakeholders in their decision-making process
Deploy and enforce adequate process controls to protect the business and the company as a whole
Facilitate regular stakeholder communication and always at the forefront to resolve complaints and escalations
To succeed in this role, you must have at least four years of work experience with a minimum two years of relevant payroll experience in a multinational BPO/global shared service environment.
Key Requirements:
Preferably a CPA
Certified payroll professional (CPP) certification is an advantage
Strong experience in global crew payroll and/or office payroll in a multinational or shared service environment
Hands-on experience in Philippine payroll and regulatory payment compliance (SSS, Philhealth, HDMF, BIR)
Business process transition/migration experience
Strong analytical skills and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure
